Commercial Wraps
Businesses have been using vehicle branding since the first cars hit the road. Originally most cars utilized painted letters, but they were permanent and difficult to update. In the early 1960's, the innovation of pressure sensitive vinyl letters changed the graphics world. This provided a similar look to letter painting, but the graphics were removable unlike paint. Auto manufacturers utilized this new technology for creating a lot of the wood grain panels seen on a lot of vehicles of this era. As printing technology improved, eventually printed graphics made their way onto vehicles, as business owners started to realize the benefits of visual advertising. In 1993, Pepsi experimented with a worlds first by wrapping an entire city bus in a graphic advertisement, windows and all! The visual graphics provided the company with a refreshing message for all their viewers and the rest is history, as the vehicle wrap was officially born!
It’s obvious why you see more and more companies going with car wraps these days. With most forms of commercial advertising, you pay for the value of visual impressions— the more impressions an ad makes, the more valuable it is. Billboards have always been the most popular form of street advertising and out of home advertising for large companies. They are massive, colorful and get seen by hundreds of thousands of motorists, pedestrians and passing birds every day. When was the last time you didn’t look at a Billboard? Okay, so maybe that was a trick question, but the idea is that it’s hard to avoid looking at one and there’s probably a few of them that you can remember right now.
Real-estate for prime in-your-face ad space is going up exponentially every year. Advertisers are looking for new ways to invest their money where it counts without breaking the bank— and let’s face it, these days, who has thousands of dollars to pay out each month for a street side Billboard?
Wouldn’t it be nice to own your own Billboard? Or better yet! How about one with tires and a transmission that can move down the highway! Placing your local business advertising exactly where you need it!

Our vinyl wraps come with a manufacturer warranted clean removal period to ensure that you can change your mind about the look of your vehicle.

Chrome Delete & Blackout
When it comes to chrome deletes, Iconic Wraps specializes in high end installs, but we can also blackout the chrome on any vehicle. Our shop has installed more vinyl on Tesla chrome than anyone else in the Tampa Bay Area. Our installers have turned the chrome delete into a science with in-house designed templates specifically created to provide our customers with a seamless, factory finish look that is far superior to the rest. Tesla retracting door handles and folding mirrors are no challenge for us!
Years ago, it seemed like it was a luxury option to have chrome trim when buying a new car… oh have the tides turned! Today, it’s almost impossible to buy a car without all that unsightly chrome trim from roof to tire. When the car manufacturers show you that release photo of next year’s upcoming body redesign, they usually have all the chrome blacked out because it just looks soooo much better… but when the vehicle is released to the public, they bedazzle everything with chrome, chrome, and more chrome.
And now, instead of charging you extra for the chrome package, the few that offer a blackout trim package will charge you $3,000-$4,000 for a “Black Edition.”
Your car, your choice
Unlike buying a car from the dealership, you can choose your own color and finish for your trim. Gloss black, matte black, carbon fiber, or even brushed metal, it’s your choice! You can even choose a different accent color for your emblems, side blinkers, or aero wheels.
Why choosing your installer matters
Installing vinyl on chrome may sound like an easy task but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Chrome trim has tight, complex shapes that make installations more difficult. The film needs to be shaped and formed at a higher stress point than if it were being installed on a larger part like a bumper.
Chrome blackouts are notoriously difficult to install due to the nature of bright chrome finishes. The smallest bit of chrome exposed can look like a major flaw, usually requiring the whole piece to be reinstalled. Close proximity with body panels and the inability to remove most parts for application further complicates the installation process. Inexperienced installers may leave unsightly seams and wrinkles or cause the vinyl to discolor. That’s far from the factory-like fit and finish we’re known for.

Personalized Car Wraps
Change your car's appearance with a vehicle wrap, without committing to a color with an expensive paint job
Vinyl car wraps allow car owners to update the look of their vehicle with a fresh finish or achieve paint colors which weren’t available to them from the dealer, all while retaining the original paint underneath.
What is a vinyl wrap or color change car wrap?
A color change car wrap is a full-coverage vinyl wrap that completely hides the underlying color of your car. Nooks, crannies, door edges, and mirrors will all be covered with a custom vinyl color to completely transform the exterior of your car. Vinyl wraps, when cared for properly, are easy to remove and leave your paint completely undamaged.
Benefits of vinyl wraps
Vinyl wraps protect your car’s surface from harsh outdoor elements like UV rays, bug splatter, bird droppings, and water marks
Car wraps allow you to change your car’s appearance without committing to a permanent paint job
Vinyl let you customize your vehicle with wrap finishes and colors that would be costly to replicate with a paint job
Vinyl wrap coverage options
Vehicle wraps give you the flexibility to decide how much of your car you would like to customize. Most of our customers opt for a full wrap which changes the entire appearance of your car. But, full coverage car wraps aren’t the only route you can go when customizing your car. Vehicle restyling can be an effective option to customize your ride, at a cheaper price point than a full wrap.
Here’s the available wrap options we offer for personal vehicles at Iconic Wraps
Full color change vehicle wraps
Vehicle restyling with partial wraps (ie. hood / roof wrap)
Large decals & custom vehicle stickers
Custom vehicle graphics
For those feeling more adventurous, our large format printers allow customers to create their own custom graphics to wrap their cars with. While this is more expensive than wrapping with a single color alone, it enables drivers to have a truly one-of-a-kind vehicle on the road.
Express yourself with your favorite sports team, TV show, pattern, gradient, and more. The same level of customization with paint would be very expensive and time consuming.
Car wrap colors & materials
Some colors are currently unavailable or on backorder due to supply chain and manufacturing constraints.
Here at Iconic Wraps, we only use the highest quality material available on the market: Avery & 3M. Both of these manufacturers offer 7 year warranties for vertical surfaces, protecting your investment from material failures not covered by smaller brands. Our printers are certified by 3M every year to ensure our customers receive the best warranty and performance from their printed graphics.
Wrap technology is constantly evolving, with new material and colors combinations coming out every year. Color shifting, chrome, and textured wrap options enable you to achieve looks previously unattainable with paint. All without spending $20,000+ on a paint job.
Vinyl wraps have a few primary categories that group different material types, giving you an idea of what’s possible with car wraps.

Custom Wall Wraps, Window Wraps and Graphics
We design, print and install custom wall wraps, window wraps, and other coverings and graphics to virtually every type of window or wall surface and in any location – from the bedroom to the boardroom. Think of it as custom wall paper in any size, shape and color. Whether you’d like a border in your dining room to match your great-grandmother’s china pattern, to bring the outdoors into the office, or to customize your storefront windows, we can create, produce and install virtually any image.
Wraps are made from pressure-activated adhesive-backed vinyl – which is a fancy way to say they are big stickers or decals. Most wraps are digitally printed onto this vinyl, and then laminated with a clear film that provides protection from the sun and other elements. Window wraps can be printed on opaque material just like vehicle wraps, which blocks all visibility in or out of the window. Perforated window film has small holes throughout, allowing for safe visibility on vehicles. On buildings, the perforated film allows those inside of a building to see out through the wrap, yet restricts visibility on the graphic side of the material.
